The property has spacious accommodation and has been tastefully restored, combining traditional charm and modern convenience.
There are two independent properties on the site. However, only the Farmhouse is currently being offered for rent. The Farmhouse has three bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom on the ground floor. Adjacent to the main house is a garage that houses laundry facilities and stores a number of bicycles that are available for use.
The South facing, enclosed garden has a paved patio area, garden furniture and a barbeque. The rectangular pool is for the private use of our guests. The large drive has ample parking space for 3 cars. The property also benefits from CCTV security, however, this can be switched-off should guests prefer.
Pool towels are provided, and there are inflatables for the pool.
There is a trunk full of children’s toys, board games, table football, playing cards etc. and a selection of reading books and DVD's. Broadband and wifi has recently been added.
Bed linen and towels are provided. Extra linen and cleaning services can be arranged.
The property is well situated to enjoy all of the local attractions. There are market days in most nearby towns, a list of which will be provided for our guests. The night markets are also well frequented by both English and French and are more of a social event than a shopping expedition!
Nearby is the well-known golf course at Chateau Vigiers and within a 15km radius you can find wonderful walking tracks as well as cycling, canoeing, horse riding, tennis and much more. The area is famous for its chateaux and caves and for exploring the countryside, or you can simply curl up by the pool and relax!
Local restaurants are in abundance and a list of recommendations will be left for your consideration. We provide an extensive 'things to do booklet' and a routes des vins guide.
Bergerac airport is 25 minutes drive away and Bordeaux is approximately 1hr 30 minutes. A car is essential as public transport is very limited in the area.
